Frequently Asked Questions
What are your opening hours?
We are open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes, we fully guarantee our workmanship. Most parts have a one-year warranty, which varies depending on where they were sourced. Please ask us for more information, as we can give further information on specific examples.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, card, BACS, and Google/Apple pay.
How much do you charge for an initial assessment?
We charge £60 + VAT for an EML diagnostic (engine management light diagnostic) or £15 for a quick review of the problem.
Can you collect my vehicle?
We are mostly able to collect and drop off vehicles in the surrounding area, please call to see if we can arrange this.
Can I wait on-site during the MOT test?
Yes, we have an on-site waiting room with complimentary drinks available. There are also plenty of nice walks in the surrounding area and benches/play park.
What happens if my car fails its MOT?
You have 10 working days to re-present the vehicle for a retest before a completely new MOT test would need to be carried out.
We will explain all major defects and advice on methods of repair. Any advisories flagged on the test will be fully explained, impartial advice recommending our honest opinion then priced to rectify if required.
How far in advance should I book my MOT?
- Earliest Booking Date: You can book your MOT up to one month minus one day before your current MOT expires. This allows you to maintain the same renewal date for future years.
- Preferred Notice: We appreciate bookings made at least two weeks in advance.
- Short Notice Bookings: While we prefer advance bookings, we may be able to accommodate shorter notice appointments based on availability.
Example: If your MOT expires on 15th of May, you can book your next MOT as early as 16th of April.
What information do you need to book an MOT?
We need your contact details (name and phone number) and the information about the vehicle you are booking the MOT for (registration number, make, and model). It is also helpful for us to know when you would like to drop-off the vehicle, and if you plan to wait on-site.
Do you service electric and hybrid vehicles?
Yes.
What's the difference between a full service and an interim service?
Both services incorporate a full comprehensive checkover covering a pre-MOT, checking and adjusting all lights, levels, and serviceable actions.
In the full service, wheels are removed/cleaned/greased. All filters and any extras are fitted.
Do you offer courtesy cars?
Yes, however please check with us in advance to ensure one is available. We charge £25 + VAT per day, not including fuel. We recommend that customers take out their own insurance, otherwise, you will be subject to the excess on our company policy.
